[26-2] 휴복학 신청/ Leave of/Return From Absence
1. 대상: 내·외국인 대학원생
2. 신청방법
1) KUPID (http://portal.korea.ac.kr) → 학적 → 휴·복학 신청
(KUPID → Academic records → Leave of Absence/Return Application
3. 신청기간
1) 학적변동 기간 : 2026년 8월 3일(월) 9:00 ~ 8월 25일(화) 17:00 (내.외국인 대학원생 모두 신청 가능)
2) 외국인 대학원생은 2026년 7월 7일(화)부터 먼저 휴/복학 신청 가능(D-2비자 및 표준입학허가서(CoA) 발급을 위해)
4. 외국인 대학원생은 KUPID에서 복학 신청 시 반드시 아래 서류를 업로드해야 함(미업로드 시 복학 신청 접수 불가)
1) 신 여권 사본(해당되는 경우 외국인등록증 사본 포함)
2) 계좌잔고증명서 사본
※계좌잔고증명서 사본은 아래 요건 모두 충족해야 함
- 잔여 학기 2~4학기인 경우 2,000만 원 (USD 20,000) 이상, 잔여 학기 1학기인 경우 1,000만 원 (USD 10,000) 이상의 잔액이
하나의 계좌에 있어야 함
- 은행 직인 또는 서명이 포함된 영문 공식 서류의 스캔본(또는 선명한 사본)일 것
- 계좌 명의자는 반드시 본인 또는 부모여야 함
- 부모 명의 계좌 제출 시, **가족관계증명서(또는 출생증명서)**를 은행 잔고 증명서와 함께
하나의 PDF 파일로 병합하여 업로드
- 신청서 제출일 기준 30일 이내 발급된 서류일 것

- 재휴학생 8/11(TUE) 10:00 ~ 15(Sat) 12:00
- 신입생 8/24(MON) 10:00 ~ 25(WED) 12:00

3. Application Period
1) Academic Status Change Period: August 3 (Mon), 2026, 9:00 AM – August 25 (Tue), 2026, 5:00 PM (KST)
2) Available for both Korean and international graduate students. Early Application for International Graduate Students International graduate students may apply for a leave of absence or return to school starting July 7 (Tue), 2026 in order to obtain a D-2 visa or a Certificate of Admission (CoA).
4. Required Documents for International Graduate Students Returning from a Leave of Absence: International graduate students must upload the following documents when submitting a Return to School application through KUPID. Applications without the required documents will not be accepted.
1) A copy of your new passport (and a copy of your Alien Registration Card (ARC), if applicable)
2) A copy of your bank balance certificate; The bank balance certificate must satisfy all of the following requirements:
- Students with 2–4 remaining semesters must have a balance of at least KRW 20,000,000 (USD 20,000) in a single account.
- Students with 1 remaining semester must have a balance of at least KRW 10,000,000 (USD 10,000) in a single account.
- It must be an official bank document in English, bearing the bank's official seal or signature, submitted as a scanned copy (or a clear photocopy).
- The account holder must be either the student or one of the student's parents.
- If the account is under a parent's name, a Family Relationship Certificate (or Birth Certificate) must be combined with the bank balance certificate into a single PDF file and uploaded.
- The document must have been issued within 30 days prior to the application submission date.

5. Course Registration Period
1) Returning Students: August 11 (Tue), 2026, 10:00 AM – August 15 (Sat), 2026, 12:00 PM (KST)
2) New Students: August 24 (Mon), 2026, 10:00 AM – August 25 (Wed), 2026, 12:00 PM (KST)
