3. How to Register
1) Access to the exclusive URL (http://sugang.korea.ac.kr/graduate) of Course Registration for KU Graduate School, then register courses
4-1. Course Registration for MA
1) For International Studies, the Core courses must be completed until the second semester.
2) (expected) Korean Studies Major in Department of International Studies, the Core courses (except Korean Language Courses) must be completed until the second semester and the Korean Language Courses must be completed until the third semester.
3) IRC011 THESIS RESEARCH I
▶MA students who were admitted in Fall 2018 and onwards: Thesis Track students only MUST take your thesis advisor’s IRC011 THESIS RESEARCH I in your third semester.
- Your thesis advisor's prior approval is needed. Please refer to the notice (Click).
- To submit your thesis in your fourth semester, you need to take IRC011 THESIS RESEARCH I and present your research proposal in your third semester (TBA).
*** Non-Thesis Track students MUST NOT take Thesis Research I. ***
4) IAC701 INDEPENDENT STUDY I, IAC702 INDEPENDENT STUDY II, IRC012 THESIS RESEARCH II are listed for the PhD students. MA students MUST NOT take these courses.

4-2. Course Registration for PhD
