2025 CAMPUS Asia Plus Summer Field Study Program in Lao PDR


The CAMPUS Asia Plus Program and BK21 Program of Glocal Studies are pleased to announce this year’s field study program in Lao PDR. This program differs from the CAMPUS Asia Summer Internship Program previously announced and is open to all GSIS students (including those who have applied for the internship program but were not selected). This field study program entails (i) a one-week field study with support from the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) of Lao PDR and (ii) a one-week intensive course at the National University of Laos (NUOL). Thus this program caters to students who are keen on conducting research on Lao PDR and want to take this opportunity to pursue data collection. This year’s field study coincides with the CAMPUS Asia Annual Symposium to be hosted by Kobe University and NUOL in Lao PDR (to be held on August 21). This event invites students from all five partner universities  of CAMPUS Asia Plus Program to present their research proposals regarding subjects related to “Risk management in Asia” across diverse scholarly disciplines and professional fields concerning global and regional risks confronting Asia. Therefore, we are interested in selecting students who are interested in both events. 


  1. 1.    Eligibility: 3 individuals among current students of the Graduate School of International Studies, Korea University (Note: Nationalities of South Korea, Japan, China, or ASEAN member countries)

2.    Program details (2 weeks, August 11 – 22)


  • •    Field study (1 week: August 11-15): Students to conduct a field study by pursuing data collection (e.g. survey, interview) with support from the MoES
  • •    Intensive course (1 week: August 18-22): Students to take intensive courses at the National University of Laos (NUOL), Faculty of Economics and Business Management, along with students from CAMPUS Asia partner universities. 
  • •    Symposium presentation (1-day, August 21): Approximately 2 of the selected students will be given an opportunity to present at the symposium


  1. 3.    Support: A round-trip flight (approximately KRW 500,000) and living expenses (approximately KRW 500,000)

  3. 4.    Note on Accommodation: During the field study week, students will find their own local accommodation. During the intensive course week, students will stay at the NUOL dormitory.

2025 CAMPUS Asia Plus 라오스 Field Study 프로그램 


CAMPUS Asia Plus 프로그램과 BK21 국제학 교육연구단에서 라오스 여름 Field Study 프로그램에 참여할 학생을 모집합니다. 이 프로그램은 이전에 안내된 CAMPUS Asia 여름 인턴십 프로그램과 별개이며, 인턴십 프로그램에 지원했으나 선정되지 않은 학생들도 지원 가능합니다. 본 Field Study 프로그램은 (i) 1주간 field study (라오스 교육체육부[MoES) 지원), (ii) 1주간 라오스국립대학교(NUOL) 집중강의로 구성됩니다. 따라서 이 프로그램은 라오스에 관한 연구를 수행하고 이 기회를 통해 데이터 수집을 진행하고자 하는 학생들에게 적합합니다. 올해 Field Study는 고베대학교와 라오스국립대학교가 라오스에서 공동 주최하는 CAMPUS Asia 연례 심포지엄(8월 21일 개최)과 시기가 겹칩니다. 동 심포지엄에서는 CAMPUS Asia Plus 프로그램의 5개 협력 대학의 학생들이 아시아가 직면한 글로벌 및 지역적 위험과 관련된 다양한 학문 분야 및 전문 분야에서 "Risk Management in Asia"와 관련된 연구 제안서를 발표합니다. 따라서 두 행사 모두에 관심이 있는 학생들을 선발하고자 합니다.


1.    지원 대상: 고려대학교 국제대학원 재학생 3명 (단, 한국, 일본, 중국 또는 ASEAN 회원국 국적)


2.    프로그램 세부사항 (2주간, 8월 11-22)


a.    Field Study (1주일: 8월 11-15): 라오스 교육체육부(MoES)의 지원을 받아 데이터 수집(예: 설문조사, 인터뷰)을 통한 Field Study수행

b.    집중과정 (1주일: 8월 18-22): CAMPUS Asia 협력교 학생들과 함께 라오스국립대학교(NUOL) 경제경영학부에서 집중과정 수강

c.    심포지엄 발표 (8월 21일): 선발된 학생 중 약 2명에게 심포지엄 발표 기회 제공


3.    지원 내용: 왕복 항공권(약 50만원) 및 체류 비용(약 50만원)


4.    숙소 관련 참고: Field Study 주간에는 학생들이 직접 현지 숙소를 구해야하며 집중과정 주간에는 라오스국립대학교 기숙사에 투숙함
