Please be advised of the course withdrawal application for the Fall 2026 semester as follows.
A. Course Withdrawal Application Schedule
Student Application Period:
September 21, 2026 (Mon) 10:00 – September 23, 2026 (Wed) 09:00 (4th week of the semester)
Date of the 3rd Course Cancellation:
September 23, 2026 (Wed) 17:00
※ Only courses with zero remaining students due to course withdrawals will be cancelled in the 3rd round.
B. Course Withdrawal Credit Limit
Students may withdraw from courses totaling up to 9 credits per semester.
C. Course Withdrawal Application Procedure
Application Menu:
Portal > Classes & Grades > Course Registration > Course Withdrawal Application > Click “Apply for Withdrawal”
No separate approval process is required. Students are responsible for submitting and verifying their own course withdrawal applications.
During the course withdrawal application period, students may cancel their withdrawal request for courses they have applied to withdraw from.
After the course withdrawal application period ends, the final withdrawal applications will be confirmed and processed accordingly.
D. Important Notes on Course Withdrawal
No Carryover of Withdrawn Credits
- Credits withdrawn from courses will not be carried over to the following semester's maximum allowable registration credits.
No Impact on Tuition Calculation
- Changes in registered credits resulting from course withdrawals, including for students completing additional semesters beyond the standard period of study, will not be reflected in tuition reductions or other tuition-related calculations.
Courses Restricted from Withdrawal:
a) First-year required courses that are automatically assigned to students
b) Laboratory/practical courses and courses offered under a flexible semester schedule
c) Other courses, such as team project courses, for which course withdrawal restrictions are necessary due to the nature or operation of the course
Potential Disadvantages Due to Insufficient Credits
- If course withdrawal results in insufficient credits to meet required credit requirements, students may be excluded from:
① meeting graduation requirements,
② receiving academic awards based on grades (e.g., selection as a semester honors student), and
③ eligibility for additional course registration in the following semester.
Students are therefore advised to check the relevant requirements in advance.
Scholarship Eligibility
- Course withdrawal may result in students failing to meet the minimum credit requirements for scholarships, including the National Scholarship, which may lead to exclusion from scholarship selection or other disadvantages. Students are advised to check the eligibility requirements for each scholarship in advance.
Application of the Flexible Course Registration Credit System
- Under the Flexible Course Registration Credit System, students may use or carry over up to 3 credits within the academic year. However, this system is applied based on the initial number of credits registered by the end of the course registration adjustment period at the beginning of the semester. Therefore, any reduction in credits resulting from course withdrawal will not be reflected in the calculation.
