
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Student Ambassador programme in Korea is co-led by the UNDP Office of Human Resources (OHR) and UNDP Seoul Policy Centre to engage motivated Korea University students in promoting the mission, values and career opportunities of UNDP.
Selected Student Ambassadors will act as key connectors between UNDP and the university community, supporting outreach, communications and branding activities while gaining first-hand exposure to the UN system and careers in international development.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Current undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in Korea University
- Strong interest in international sustainable development
- Passionate about communication and social media
- Excited about promoting UNDP for a semester
- Fluent in English
What is expected
Student Ambassadors are expected to dedicate approximately 2 hours per week to the following areas:
1. Communication
Utilizing social media platforms and university communication channels to share UNDP news, resources and career-related events.
Creating and distributing online materials (including posts, photos and videos) that highlight UNDP’s impact and the diverse career paths available within the organization.
2. Networking
Building and maintaining relationships with universities, local communities and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and enhance understanding of career opportunities in UNDP.
Attending UNDP events (where applicable) and representing the student perspective, providing feedback and insights to the UNDP team.
3. Capacity building
Participating in training sessions and workshops organized by UNDP to enhance your understanding of development issues and career pathways.
Sharing knowledge and skills gained through the programme with fellow students to empower them to explore careers in international development.
