정서용 교수는 최근 6월 19일 해양수산부(장관, 조승한)에서 개최된 바다의 날 유공자 포상 전수식에 참석하여서 근정포장을 받았다. 정서용 교수는 지난 20여년간 기후변화 대응을 위한 해양흡수원 분야 인도네이사 협력사업 추진을 위한 해양수산부와 GGGI와의 양해각서체결 기여 등을 포함한 해양환경 분야에서의 정부 정책에 기여를 하였다.
The professor recently attended the Marine Day Commendation Ceremony held by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries on June 19th, where received the Service Merit Medal.
Over the past 20 years, the professor has contributed to government policies in the field of marine environment, including initiatives such as promoting collaboration with an Indonesian agency for ocean carbon sequestration projects to address climate change and participating in the signing of a MOU with the GGGI.
