Center for Glocal Conflict Management

The Center for Glocal Conflict Management (CGCM) was established in January 2021 when KU GSIS launched its Brain Korea 21 program titled in ‘Glocal Conflict Management for an Inclusive Society’. The program is sponsored by the National Research Fund (NRF) under the Ministry of Education. The Center aims to contribute to the realization of an inclusive society by resolving various glocal conflicts. For this purpose, it primarily conducts interdisciplinary research in the fields of economy and trade, development, and security, focusing on three subjects: export-led growth through job creation, empathetic society through communication, and achievement of peace and human security on the Korean Peninsula. In addition, the Center hosts various academic conferences, workshops, and seminars, conducts joint research programs with public and private institutions, and establishes its own research network, thereby helping resolve diverse challenges related to glocal conflicts.
