외교부에서는3월 19일부터 20일 양일간 <2024 세계유산에 대한 참여적 접근> 이라는 주제로 국제 컨퍼런스를 개최합니다. ICOMOS, ICCROM, 그리고 서강대학교 트랜스내셔널인문학연구소가 공동으로 조직한 이 컨퍼런스를 통해 지역 사회 및 공동체가 세계유산 등재, 보존 및 관리 과정에 참여할 수 있는 구체적이고 실질적인 방법을 모색하는 논의의 장을 마련하고자 합니다. 전 세계 지역의 도시, 자연, 문화 유산의 현장에서 다양한 층위의 공동체와 직접 호흡해 온 유산 전문가가 생생하게 전하는 ‘참여하는 세계유산’의 세계로 초대하오니, 많은 관심과 참여 부탁드립니다.
 
 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is hosting an international conference on 19-20 March on the theme of <Participatory Approaches to UNESCO World Heritage 2024>. Jointly organized by ICOMOS, ICCROM, and the Critical Global Studies Institute (CGSI) at Sogang University, the conference aims to provide a forum for discussions that explore concrete and practical ways to engage ‘communities’ in the process of inscription, conservation, and management of World Heritage. This conference explores diverse ways of participatory approaches to World Heritage through the lens of distinguished heritage professionals who have worked directly with communities at all levels in urban, natural, and cultural heritage sites.
