GSIS UN Human Rights Committee Summer Field Research 2024 (~5/11)

1. Eligibility

- Currently enrolled at KU GSIS as a MA/Ph.D. student

- Fluency in oral and written English. 

- Qualified to travel overseas.

2. Descriptions

- Period: June 30^th ~ July 06^th (1 week)

- Location: Palais Wilson (Geneva, Switzerland)

- Responsibilities:

 Assistance in drafting and preparing various documents including presentations. 

 Providing logistic and substantive support for the organization of events and meetings. 

 All other tasks as assigned.

        Participants must submit a field research report after the program. 

- Benefit: Grants up to KRW 3,000,000 will be provided on the condition of writing a field research report. 

3. Recruitment Schedule

1) Application Period: May 3^rd – May 11^th 

- Send a (1) Cover Letter and (2) C.V. (3) MA/Ph.D GPA Transcript to ku.ihrc2024@gmail.com by May 11^th. Late or incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

- The subject line should be as follows: GSIS_Summer_2024_YOUR NAME

- The Cover Letter must include: 1) Education background, 2) Explain your interest in human rights issues, 3) Explain why you are the best candidate for this specific program.

- Please submit your undergraduate GPA transcript only for students who are currently enrolled in the first semester as a MA in GSIS. 

2) Interview: May 13^th 

- In-person interviews will be arranged for short-listed candidates.  

3) Result Announcement: May 15^th 

- Notification of acceptance will be via email.
